Invasive Plant Bounty Reward Program

Bounty Rewards

One of the basic principles of invasive plant management is early detection.  To that end, IPAW is sponsoring a reward program to encourage and provide incentive for citizens of the state to look for and report prohibited invasive plants (as listed in NR 40) that they encounter.  Here are the guidelines of the program.  Happy hunting!

Program Specifics

  • In order to be eligible, you must submit the reporting requirements listed below.
  • Each confirmed report will earn $25, $50 if the report is submitted with a voucher specimen. Reports submitted with only photographs are only eligible for the $25 reward.
  • Only prohibited terrestrial and aquatic plants, reported for a county where they were previously unknown, are eligible.  This includes split listed plants as long as the plant is prohibited in the county where it is reported.
  • An individual may earn more than one award for reports of different species or locations in a different county.
